Why is there no point compensation in Astats for games that we have already completed but have been removed from the store? I do not like to lose the points of a game in which it has cost me time and effort to complete

The idea of astats is that it's a level playing field (or as close as is possible). If a game is removed from the store, people who don't already own it can't get achievements for it, hence creating an unfair situation. This is why removed games aren't worth any points.

I have a reliable med from such a pain: Never playing a game which "cost me time". Always playing to swap my time on enjoyment. And still some achievements progress are possible.

When Astats was created this system made sense. There weren't all that many game's coming out on a yearly basis and Steam was nowhere near as lenient as it is today with what gets on the platform. Games being removed could have potentially create an unfair scenario in competition then. In today's gaming world though there are many thousands of games released on a yearly basis and an average of 10 games per day, I believe is what Luchaos (forgive me if I remembered wrong) has said.

So imo, this system no longer makes sense, because there are so many options. No one has even come close to finishing half the achievement games on Steam and at the rate they're being released no one likely will. It seems to me as Steam currently exists it doesn't impact the 'playing field' at all and if competition is the users goal leads to a lot of frustration. That's just my take on it anyhow.
